Powder Up: 3 Loose Powders for a Fresh & Flawless Complexion - By Vanessa Chia
Also the easiest way to blur out imperfections and keep shine at bay.
Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Setting Powder
A lightweight silky loose powder that can be used to set your makeup to keep complexion looking fresh and smooth all day as it blurs out the appearance of pores and fine lines.
Super lightweight and feels like nothing on the skin. Love that it has a slight mattifying property that keeps my combination skin looking less shiny and more flawless, especially during the hot days. Just a little goes a long way, unless you want to look like Casper the Friendly Ghost. Also doesn’t give the face that mask-like appearance when caught on camera. #noflashback
PS. The lavender shade is good for brightening a sallow complexion too.

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder
A translucent setting powder to help your makeup last through the day. It also creates a soft-focus effect, blurring out imperfections, for a flawless complexion and professional finish.
It’s a product that I’ve had many people recommend to me before. It is really easy to use, and feels super soft and light on the skin. But the best thing about this powder is that while it gives the skin a slight matte finish, it doesn’t settle into the lines and crease, even under the eyes. The only thing to be careful about is that if you have really oily skin, using a primer prior would help as it doesn’t keep face as shine-free as you would like for more than six hours.

IT COSMETICS Bye Bye Pores™ Poreless Finish Airbrush Powder
Infused with lots of skin-loving ingredients such as Collagen, Vitamins A, C, E and K, and Pure Silk, it gives complexion an air-brushed finish while absorbing excess sebum and banishing shine at the same time.
Love that this contains skincare ingredients as foundation and powder sit on the skin for more than eight hours a day, especially when you’re at work. The powder is finely milled so it doesn’t sit in the lines on the face or crease over time. However, the slight downside is that this is good for daily wear to the office, but not for special occasions where photos will be taken, especially flash photography as the flashblack is quite pronounced. And when everything needs to go on the ‘gram today, ensuring that you look perfect in every photo, flash or no flash, is a must.
