The BB Cream junkie in me really love this month’s review. These days, they have many names but basically they are products which are both skincare and makeup, providing coverage while containing ingredients beneficial to the skin.

IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better™ CC+™ Cream with SPF 50+
One step for color-correcting full coverage, anti-aging skincare and SPF 50+ UVA/UVB broad-spectrum physical sunscreen.

This one is really a dream in a bottle. I have been using this even before I was asked to review this.

Delivers 7 products, all in one. Let’s see:

Full coverage foundation – Yes, full coverage indeed. A bit on the thick side but still easy to spread and blend. Absorbed fast too.

SPF 50+ UVA/UVB broad-spectrum physical sunscreen – Yay! I used it while travelling in summer and it kept me still fair from the UV rays!

Brightening color corrector – Hmm, I did notice slight brightening of my skin tone.

Hydrating anti-aging serum – That’s from the hyaluronic acid included, a must-have ingredient in my skincare routine.

Poreless finish primer – Yes, pores were smaller, probably from the full coverage.

Dark spot concealer – Concealed most flaws, but I still needed more concealer for my dark circles.

Moisturizing day cream – Didn’t accentuate dry patches and left a healthy semi-matte finish.

Tarte BB Tinted Treatment 12-Hour Primer Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF30

A low maintenance, high-performance long-wear, vegan treatment primer that can be used under (or instead of) foundation for smoother brighter looking skin.

Hmm, I would call this a tinted primer. This one has the classic silicone primer feel. I know some may like the silky feel it leaves but for my dry skin, it accentuates the dry patches. The coverage is really lightweight and sheer. For daily work use, I used it under a more hydrating foundation to counteract the dryness from this tinted primer. It did make my foundation go on smoother and last longer.

It contains triple-B complex including natural diamond powder that helps to diffuse light to improve the appearance of skin luminosity. I think I didn’t notice much glow though due to its mattifying effect.

I would recommend this for oily skin and on days that you need your makeup to last the whole day and night. A night out partying, I suppose?

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Skin Perfector

Ultra HD Perfector is a new generation of perfecting skin tint that gives skin a soft glowing veil, no filter needed.

One of my favourite, this one had coverage good enough to be like a liquid foundation. Medium coverage but buildable, it had a really smooth and creamy texture that felt like a dream using fingers to put it on.

In a neutral to warm tone, it gave my pale skin a healthier sheen to it. But not as dewy as it was described to be. That’s fine though since we are in humid Singapore and oily breakthrough shine is usually a concern.

With SPF 25+, this is good for regular indoor day use. But if you are going to be outdoors, I would recommend layering on a sunscreen underneath this first for better sun protection!

Oh yes, this was the only product that got me compliments on my skin. My colleague commented that my makeup that day looked really nice and ‘well put together’. Yay!

Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion Intense

A luxurious anti-aging cushion foundation that harnesses the treasured red pine extract for unrivalled skin resilience combined with plum blossoms extract for excellent anti-oxidant properties.

I’ve tried two previous versions of Sulwhasoo’s cushion foundations before. One I found too dewy, the other I found too mattifying. Sulwhasoo must have read my mind because this new version is a much improved version of both! It’s slightly dewy but not too shiny. Those who like the Korean dewy look but live in humid Singapore will like this!

Coverage is buildable medium to full but still relatively lightweight on the skin. Lasted through till evening time for me. Oily skins may find that it doesn’t last that long for them, nothing a touch up can’t fix though!

Ingredients wise, it contains red pine (the signature anti-aging ingredient of Sulwhasoo’s TimeTreasure line) which helps rejuvenate damaged skin and restore skin resilience. Older mature skin types will appreciate this added ingredient to help slow down skin aging!

A cushion foundation with a lightweight texture for comfortable and beautiful skin all day long.

I think I just found my holy grail cushion foundation. Thank you Sample Store! Hmm, what makes this stand out from the many cushion foundations in the market? I would say that it’s because it’s a full coverage foundation which still looks really natural (your skin but better), feels really lightweight and lasts all the way through the day and night.

It can last so long meaning it absorbed my sebum throughout the day, yet did not give the flat mattifying look that I dread, and didn’t accentuate any dry patches at all. How amazing is that! I read that this is due to its Double Lasting Layer technology that forms a solid yet flexible double layer of the foundation on the skin.

Oh yes another thing that I really love about this is its smooth and non-sticky semi-matte finish. You can even skip your setting powder if you want, or if you are using it on the go. There’s only a slight dewy look, I would call it, a glow from within look. Fancy more glow? Nothing a highlighter can’t fix!
