Pack Smart & Travel Light By Miyake

Pack Smart & Travel Light By Miyake
Thursday, December 14, 2017

Can’t believe that it’s already December! Time flies and it will be 2018 in a blink of an eye. If you’re making travel plans for the new year, I’m excited to share my list of travel essentials. You’ll notice that most of my essentials are in travel or sample size because I prefer to pack light; bringing all the full size products will be heavy and a waste of space.

#1 MKUP Calendula Extract - Deep Pore Cleansing Mousse

I've been using this cleanser for a long period of time and I love that it comes with a silicone brush head that helps to cleanse my skin throughly. This is such a game changer for cleanser and it’s no doubt one of the skincare product that I can't live without (until I find something similar that is better).

#2 Biore Makeup Remover Cleansing Cotton Travel

This alcohol-free makeup remover is packed with smooth cleansing oil to remove stubborn makeup gently and effectively. This is a much convenient and lighter option compared to packing cleansing oil/water/gel and cotton pads in your luggage.

Price: $3.90 | Where To Buy:

#3 The Therapy Oil Blending Formula Cream

A sumptuous anti-aging cream that contains a blend of Essential Oils used by European beauty therapists. Anti-aging, anti-dry and ultra nourishing effects in one anti-aging product.

Price: $55 | Where To Buy:

#4 Lancome Advanced Génifique Serum

This serum is known to give users visible glowy effect in a short period of time. Introduced this product to my boyfriend’s mom and she's a fan of this serum now! The product may cost slightly more than your usual serum but it's worth every cent.

Price: $130 | Where to buy:

#5 Belif Witch Hazel Herbal Extract Toner

Suitable for dry skin type, this toner contains soothing ingredients that provides nutrients to the skin in the first step of skin care. Formulated with Witch Hazel extracts, the toner helps to strengthen the skin barrier and minimises moisture depletion. This product transforms dry and exhausted skin to supple and moisturised skin.

For eye products, I usually get my O-Purus Contact Lens Solution (#6) and O-Lens Contact Lenses (#7) from Korea.

For oral care, these are the 3 products that I can't travel without! The toothpastes and toothbrushes provided by the hotel just doesn't feels right for me. I know that I'm not the only weird one here!

#8 Ora2 Toothpaste in Apple & Rose Mint

No.1 Selling Whitening Toothpaste Brand in Japan - I actually love the taste of the toothpaste, it’s not your usual mint flavoured toothpaste.

Price: $6.95 | Where To Buy:

#9 VANT 36.5 - Think Your Teeth Toothbrush

Probably the only toothbrush that I use. You can only get it from Korea.

#10 Listerine Mouthwash in Green Tea

I got to admit that I’m addicted to this mouthwash, because it keeps my breath fresh! Thank god that they are available in travel size for me to carry around wherever I go.

Price: $4.90 | Where To Buy:

No skincare routine is complete without face mask! I have a habit of using face mask at least once or twice a day and this really helps to keep my skin hydrated. I will rotate between different brands depending on what’s my favourite for the month.

These 2 masks are my current favourites, you should check this out!

#11 Guerisson 9 Complex Horse Oil Hydrogel Gold Mask

I prefer my mask to be in the form of hydrogel and the Guerisson 9 Complex Horse Oil Hydrogel Gold Mask is extremely good. I like how it doesn't leave any sticky feeling yet giving a refreshing sensation on the face. This mask will help to improve skin damages and moisturizes the skin at the same time. I usually purchase 5-6 boxes at a go and this shows how much I love this mask.
Price: $32.60 | Where To Buy:

#12 Dearpacker Royal Black Tea & Black Rose Hydrogel Mask

Discovered this mask recently from The Face Shop's Plaza Singapura outlet. Seems like this mask is only available at the Plaza Singapura outlet. This is a pretty interesting mask as you can find tea leaves in it. My skin feels moisturised and glowy after using it! I couldn't recall the price, but it should be around $5-6 per piece?

#13 Milbon Home Care Kit

My hair gets very dry whenever I'm travelling and this product helps to keep my hair silky smooth for days. Which is why I'll usually bring this with me when I'm travelling!

#14 Chloe Perfume

Been using this for many years now, the only scent that I can get used to.

P.S. If you’re thinking about bringing a facial mist onboard, skip it! You may think you're hydrating your skin by spritzing, but as the water evaporates from your skin, it make dryness worse. Shocking isn’t it? Instead, bring products that contain Hyaluronic Acid. The sugar molecule can be found naturally in our skin and it has an amazing ability to bind to water.
