Nestled in the highly anticipated Jewel Changi Airport, OGAWA A.Island Flagship Store officially opened its doors on 18 April 2019. The newly unveiled store is the 15th and largest OGAWA store in Singapore, taking up 1,400 sq ft. The OGAWA A.Island is the brand’s first concept store that engage customers with not five but six senses.

The store aims to effectively engage shoppers’ on the different touchpoints of sound, sight, smell, touch, taste and last but not least, the 6th sense - “AI/Massage Intelligence”, the massage sensing technology to deliver a personalized and humanized experience.



To create a memorable and multi-sensorial shopping experience, OGAWA A.Island created a customer journey that is emotive and serendipitous. Shoppers can look forward to the following highlights of the store.

1. Experiential Areas



Apart from having its core products like the different massaging equipments, one of the main features of the flagship store is its experiential areas which allow customers to experience the products. Customers can expect to have a hands-on experience of the newly launched Omknee 2, the popular Master Drive A.I and also the other focus products on display.



2. AiTreat and NovaHealth TCM Clinic



In collaboration with Singapore’s first Artificial Intelligence (AI) massage robot developer, AiTreat, OGAWA A.Island houses Singapore’s first massage therapy robot, EMMA, short for Expert Manipulative Massage Automation. EMMA comes with a robotic arm and embedded sensors that does precise therapeutic massages and cameras that can map out a patient’s body. With the sensor data from EMMA, physicians from NovaHealth TCM Clinic can analyse and track a patient’s condition for a more effective therapy treatment prescription.



3. TEMI The Personal Robot



Enhancing the concept of Artificial Intelligence and technology, the OGAWA A.Island store features the assistance of TEMI, an intelligent personal robot. TEMI is able to navigate dynamically in any environment, react and carry out tasks via voice commands. With facial recognition, TEMI is able to detect your unique facial features, and follow your movements seamlessly, connecting you simultaneously with the person you are video-calling at the other end. With built-in speakers, TEMI also doubles up as an entertainment unit playing your favourite music or shows.



The experiential-based concept store is synonymous with the Jewel Changi Experience - challenging to redefine both retail experience and life’s quality.
