Serums play a big part in my skincare routine. I always incorporate different types of serums for different needs. For instance I will use hyaluronic acid serums on daily basis but when my skin breaks out, I will use serums that contain AHA/BHA to fight against those nasty pimples.

Nowadays, I’ve added anti-aging serums to maintain my youth before it’s all gone. I don’t know if you guys have heard of this saying before, “Use anti-aging products before it’s too late”. In fact it’s really true! I’ve read online that once your wrinkle is formed, it is very difficult to get rid off.

LANCÔME Advanced Génifique

This serum is definitely one of my favourite serums of all time. I’ve actually used it for 3 to 4 months before receiving this product for the review. There are tons of good reviews out there, one of it is being able to absorb very quickly into your skin which is a plus point for me. I hate having product residue on my face especially when I like to rub my face against my fluffy pillows. They claimed that the serum reveals youthful radiance and smoother skin in just 7 days, which I have no qualms in since so many reviews online have actually claimed that it does help with anti-aging.

Pros: Non-sticky formula, skin absorbs almost instantly. Skin feels softer, lesser congested pores in just one week. Skin is visibly glowy after using it for 1-2 month.

Cons: Pretty pricey. Product contains denatured alcohol, may or may not cause dryness overtime. However, I’m not experiencing any dryness at the moment.

su:m37 Secret Repair Concentrated Serum

As per usual, I’m always slightly more biased towards skincare that is made from Asian countries. This is because they are formulated for our skin type. With that being said, this serum is a mixture of Korean hanbang ingredients, naturally aged ferments and botanical extracts. The serum is pretty rich in formula, helps to penetrate into your skin to provide brightening, moisturising and plumping effect.

Pros: Suitable for those who require help in restoring elasticity, improving dryness and saggy skin. As well as enlarged pores and fine lines. Although the serum’s formula is on the thicker side, the skin absorbs almost instantly. Personally, I feel that this serum really helps to brighten up my skin tone.

Cons: I do feel that this serum is slightly on the thicker side. I would suggest to only use it at night as I feel that during day time it would be too heavy for the skin. Especially if you have oily T-zone like me. But it depends on your skin type as well. If you have dry skin, like my cheek area, I would love a slightly richer serum to hydrate the flaky area. It will help to improve dry skin tremendously.

IT COSMETICS No. 50 Serum™ Anti-Aging Collagen Veil Primer

One of my favourite brand of all times, IT COSMETICS. I was really excited to try out this product as I’m a big fan of their foundation. I love how they came out with a serum/primer at the same time. Given that it works well for anti-aging and helps to smoothen out fine lines as well as working as a primer, I really have to give them a big thumbs up! Infused with more than 50 beneficial ingredients, this product aims to nurture your skin and lock in moisture as it prepares it for flawless makeup application.

Pros: This all-in-one serum is something that lazy people like me will love. I love how smooth and velvety the finish is, so that when i apply my foundation it remains matte. As for anti-aging properties, many online reviews actually loves how it smoothes out fine lines and smile lines. Personally I can’t really see much difference but that is because I do not have lines to cover as of now. But my pores do look minimised after applying it. Fast absorption too!

Cons: Not the most moisturising serum out in the market. For the price point and the amount of product in the bottle, I would prefer it to be slightly more moisturising. However, you can apply other serums on top of it, it works well with other serums too!

SKIN INC Vitamin A Serum

I love SKIN INC! I own other serums from their line too! Like Vitamin C serum. This serum is ideal for those suffering from an uneven skin tone or with tired and dull skin with dark eye circles, as a lack of Vitamin A causes skin to become coarse and sluggish.

Pros: Works very well with other serums. I love to layer with other serums like Vitamin E & C together with this serum. Really helps to improve skin tone. Serum is very mild, works well with sensitive skin.

Cons: Slightly high on the price point. I finished 1 bottle of serum in just 2 months or less. But willingly to purchase again.
