Tarte Drink Of H2O Hydrating Boost Moisturizer
For a gel-based moisturiser, this one felt too thick for my skin and it also took longer for my skin to fully absorb the product. Love the refreshing scent, however this product caused my dry and sensitive skin to sting around my nose and cheek area.
Pros: Refreshing Scent and Moisturising
Cons: Thick Gel Texture the feels heavy on the skin, Slow Absorbing, Stingy and Burning Sensation
Skin Moisture Level | Before: 52.3% | After: 65.5% | Moisture Level Improved by 13.2%
Rating: 1.5/5 Stars | Retailing at: $65.00 (50 ml)
KIEHL’S Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel-Cream
I’ve raved about this products quite a few times on my Instagram, in fact this is one of the product that my boyfriend and I have been using (the current tub I have is almost finished so this one came just at the right time for us). I got to know about this product through my best friend @yutakis as he knows that I love lightweight and fast absorbing products that doesn’t leave greasy and sticky residue, therefore he introduced this to me!
Kiehls Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream is perfect for people who have sensitive or oily skin. If you’re wondering, this product is fragrance free.
Pros: Lightweight, Cooling Effect, Hydrating, Fast Absorbing
Cons: Alcohol Scent
Skin Moisture Level | Before: 42.4% | After: 56.3% | Moisture Level Improved by 13.9%
Rating: 3.5/5 Stars | Retailing at: $49.00 (50 ml)
SKIN INC Pure Recovery Dew
I have high hopes for this product as I always see beauty influencers raving about this brand, therefore this is the first product I tried first when I received the package. As someone whom love onsen, I already find this product interesting because SKIN INC Pure Recovery Dew is infused with Mineral-rich Japanese Onsen water. Which is known to have various of beauty and health benefits. the product also claimed to aid in skin-soothing and calming redness, irritation and blemishes which I couldn’t vouch for the result as I don’t have redness of any skin irritations issue.
You’ll see water droplets forming during application which is pretty interesting! But sadly, it has the lowest moisture level improvement among all the other products. However I do like how lightweight and fast absorbing this product is, it also leave my skin feeling soft and smooth after application.
Pros: Lightweight, Fast Absorbing, Supple and Smooth Skin, No Greasy or Sticky Residue
Cons: Price is on the steep side for the amount of product given and it performs just like how moisturisers half its price would
Skin Moisture Level | Before: 47.6% | After: 58.1% | Moisture Level Improved by 10.5%
Rating: 2/5 Stars | Retailing at: $72.00 (30 ml)
Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Cooling Gel
It’s my first time seeing such a vibrant blue cooling gel, the textured is also different from the other gel based moisturiser that I’ve tried, like what it stated on the packaging “gel-sorbet”. The gel looked thick however it melts into the skin easily after application leaving my skin looking matte and smooth. It doesn’t look moisturising because of the matte finish but I was shocked by my skin detector result. Apparently this product has the highest moisture level improvement!
Pros: Fast Absorbing, Moisturising, Smooth Skin, Matte Finish (Shine Free Complexion)
Cons: Smells like Men’s Cologne (Wouldn’t recommend this for people who are sensitive to strong scent)
Skin Moisture Level | Before: 43.9% | After: 59.0% | Moisture Level Improved by 15.1%
Rating: 4/5 Stars | Retailing at: $82.00 (50 ml)
