Fight Aging Signs With These Serums - By Celine Leong
Another exciting month was spent trying out these four anti-aging serums. Anti-aging serum is a must-have in every girl’s skincare regime, even if you are just in your 20s because aging starts as early then. Let’s see how these serums fared!
LANCÔME Advanced Génifique
A powerful youth activating serum that reveals youthful radiance and smoother skin in just 7 days.
Boost your skincare with Lancôme’s best-selling youth activator, the new Advanced Génifique – our serum that repairs and activates 10 clinical signs for youthful-looking skin that you can see and feel, in just 7 days. Advanced Génifique is the first step to any beauty routine, for every age, every skin type. With an exclusive self-loading dropper, Génifique delivers the ideal dosage to bring back the light into your skin.
I think this is the most famous anti-aging serum out of the four, being in the market for really long. The first thing that stands out in this product is that it comes in an exclusive self-loading dropper. Meaning every drop delivers the ideal dosage. You never have to guess how much product to use anymore.
First off, the texture. It got absorbed into the skin real quick. No sticky residue at all, making the rest of your skincare regime easy to apply. Looking at the ingredient list, I think it’s due to the presence of alcohol in it. That didn’t dry out my skin though, due to the present of hyaluronic acid as well.
Results wise, I thought my skin tone looked clearer and more even. Probably would need more time to see its full effects.

su:m37 Secret Repair Concentrated Serum
The perfect cocktail for your skin, this concentrate serum is a splendid mix of Korean hanbang ingredients, naturally aged ferments and botanical extracts. It penetrates deep into the skin to provide brightening, moisturising and plumping effects.
I have heard and read about this on beauty blogs. This is a highly raved serum over the internet and I was excited to try it. After just using it for one day, I received compliments on my skin! Someone noticed that my skin texture looked better. Yay! I usually have some fine lines and dry patches on my forehead but this serum seemed to solve it for me!
Texture wise, it reminded me of snail cream as it has that slightly gooey feel. Do not be turned off though. It absorbed nicely into the skin and did not have any strong smell. If packaging is important to you, you will like this one too!

IT COSMETICS No. 50 Serum™ Anti-Aging Collagen Veil Primer
A true beauty breakthrough. Multi-tasking, concentrated, hydrating primer and serum in one.
This serum is really interesting! It can be used as a serum, daily moisturiser, hydrating primer and even over your night cream as an overnight sleeping mask. Whichever way you use it, it has this amazing ability to absorb quickly without adding any tacky feeling to your skin.
Ingredients wise, it includes super a lot of active ingredients such as 10 essential oils and butters, 10 nourishing botanicals, 30 fruit and plant-based extracts plus powerful antioxidants and vitamins. It also has soothing properties due to the presence of aloe, jojoba, licorice root and chamomile.
The main thing I noticed was softer and smoother skin from using this product. I think it’s due to the hydrating and primer effect? This will be great if you are looking for a hydrating primer with added anti-aging effects. In fact, it worked well enough as a light moisturiser. So on days when I was rushing for time, I used it as a serum-moisturiser-primer all in one!

SKIN INC Vitamin A Serum
Take on skin dullness, uneven skin tone and signs of exhaustion around the eyes and dark circles for a healthy look.
Dark eye circles. The bane of my life and so difficult to treat. This serum rich in Vitamin A is designed to improve fatigue and skin dullness around the delicate eye area. It supports natural collagen production, blood flow, and circulation of the skin.
This serum looks really cute as it comes in the form of baby pink capsules (the active ingredient retinyl palmitate) suspended in a clear humectant rich base. This patented Japanese seaweed encapsulation technology protects the active ingredients from exposure to light and oxidation.
Results wise, there was slight brightening of the eye area. Longer usage will probably be needed to see if it continues to lighten the dark eye circles.
