Tarte Drink Of H2O Hydrating Boost Moisturizer
Sporting a bright cheery packaging, this water based lightweight gel moisturizer hydrates with key ingredients hailing from the ocean. Cool and refreshing, gel was easily absorbed and left skin smooth and hydrated to the touch.
Rating: 3.7/5 Stars | Retailing at: $65.00 (50 ml)
KIEHL’S Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel-Cream
This non-oily and quickly absorbed hydrator reduces any oily sheen on skin and leaves it more balanced. Best for oily and combination skin types prone to excessive oil production, this gel cream works with our skin’s natural lipids to remove excess oil on our skin. Skin with more normal types will find this not as moisturising as most other gel creams.
Rating: 3.2/5 Stars | Retailing at: $49.00 (50 ml)
SKIN INC Pure Recovery Dew
A lightweight multi-benefit moisturiser that contains Japanese onsen water to soothe and calm skin irritations, this is good for sensitive skin and even oily skin types. Due to its light watery texture, for those with normal or dry skin, you would need something else on top of this.
Rating: 3.2/5 Stars | Retailing at: $72.00 (30 ml)
Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Cooling Gel
This fresh, non-greasy gel cream is said to restore the skin’s radiance and comfort, no matter the circumstances. With key medicinal ingredients like Kalanchoe extract, it is meant to boost skin’s hyaluronic acid production. Personally though, it was a challenge to find this product moisturising on my skin and is therefore better for oily / combination skin types. Application was not as ideal as some other gel creams due to the inherent somewhat textured (subtly “grainy”) feel.
Rating: 3.2/5 Stars | Retailing at: $82.00 (50 ml)
