philosophy the micro delivery resurfacing peel
Contrary to the usual 1 step peel that you just need to apply and wash off, the philosophy the micro delivery resurfacing peel consists of 2 steps. Step 1: the Vitamin C/Peptide Resurfacing Crystals, a grainy, orange-coloured paste that smells just like orange. When it comes to exfoliators, I often prefer a really fine microdermabrasion type of texture to really feel like I'm getting rid of the dead skin cells. This felt like the usual exfoliation process that helps to remove dead skin cells and impurities. If you have sensitive skin, you can use lesser of the crystals so that it will not be too harsh on the skin. Step 2: the clear Lactic/Salicylic Activating Gel which has a medicinal scent. When applied on top of the paste, it yields a warm, white foam which means vitamin C and peptides from the product are infusing into the skin. While the gel is foaming up, a pleasant warm sensation will occur which made the entire experience felt like a relaxing facial treatment. Although this is a 2-step peel, it is easy to use and most importantly, it left my skin feeling clean, wonderfully soft and looking bright. The peel helped to tighten my pores as well. Makeup application was smoother after using this peel, no dry patches.

Saturday Skin Rub-a-Dub Refining Peel Gel
Everyone’s first impression of Saturday Skin Rub-a-Dub Refining Peel Gel has got to be - the name and packaging is so cute! Similar to the SKIN INC Pure Revival Peel, this is a gel-based peel that lifts dead skin cells and impurities off the skin. The only difference is that the gel comes with microbeads. When using, you can see tiny balls of gunk coming off your skin. The peel helped to eliminate dry patches on my face and giving me a smooth and clean canvas for makeup application. This peel is so gentle that it will not leave your face looking angry, red and dry. So if you have sensitive skin, fret not! This product contains aloe extract that soothes the skin. The reason for rating this higher than SKIN INC Pure Revival Peel is due to the price point and I like having the microbeads going across my face knowing that it will help to remove the dead skin. If given a choice between SKIN INC and Saturday Skin, I’ll definitely go for this.
