4 Concealers To Try - By Vanessa Chia
Find out which concealers give a long-lasting, buildable coverage for a flawless finish.
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer
A multi-action concealer that not only covers imperfections but also reduces the appearance of dark circles, lines and wrinkles. Also contains multi-active botanicals that help hydrate, firm and strengthen the skin at the same time. Comes in nine shades.
The texture is as its name states, creamy, bordering on being a wee bit thick. But the good is that it applies easily and covers dark circles and the odd blemish scar easily. Best bit? Even after eight hours, it didn’t settle into the lines under the eyes.

Too Faced Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Concealer
A full coverage concealer allowing for a buildable coverage to achieve a flawless finish. Also infused with coconut water and alpine rose to nourish the skin. Comes in a whopping 19 shades.
The applicator is one of the largest amongst the four, so instead of dabbing it straight onto spots and under the eyes, I dab it on the back of my head, then pat it onto the areas that need extra coverage. The coverage is also very intense, so a little goes a long way. In fact, if skin is relatively clear, this is all you need for a natural look, and you’re good to go.
Tip: If your skin tone gets fairer and the shade is a little too dark, don’t throw it out. Instead, use it as an alternative to shade and sculpt the face to create the illusion of a slimmer face.

URBAN DECAY Naked Skin - Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer
A blend-able and buildable concealer offering high coverage yet feels weightless on the skin. The result is a seamless, second skin finish. It also contains a unique Matrixyl 3000 peptides, Japanese Green Tea and Lychee extracts and Sodium Hyaluronate to prevent dehydration and brighten the skin.
Super easy to blend and provides decent coverage on blemishes and even dark under-eye circles. It feels really lightweight and doesn’t cake nor crease, so it doesn’t highlight the lines and wrinkles on the face. But if you have really prominent dark circles or pigmentation, you might need a concealer with heavier coverage.

BECCA Ultimate Coverage Longwear Concealer
A long-wearing full-coverage concealer that uses a unique light and pigment technology to blur the appearance of pores, fine lines and blemishes. It’s also infused with skin-loving vitamin E, squalene and Manuka honey to keep skin hydrated and nourished. Comes in 16 shades.
A little really goes a long way. In fact, you can even use this concealer all over as a lightweight foundation! One of the easiest of the lot when it comes to blending, which makes it a dream to use. And it really lasts too. Even after a full day out (at least eight hours), the concealer did not budge and still look decently fresh as if I had just applied it.
